Continuing John’s Legacy of Helping Others

The John Krauland, Jr. Memorial Foundation is proud to carry on John’s legacy of kindness through our Community Assistance Program. John was always the first to lend a hand, whether it was helping his grandparents around the house, assisting friends with projects like cutting down trees or installing hardwood floors, or dropping everything to help someone in need. One perfect example of his compassion was the time a seventeen-year-old boy rear-ended John’s car on the way to a tennis match. Instead of being upset, John offered to drive him to the match, and even followed up the next day to ask, “Did you win?!”

John had the biggest heart, and he was always there with open arms. In that same spirit, the foundation is committed to helping families, friends, and community members through the Community Assistance Program. Maybe a family’s furnace breaks in the middle of winter, or an elderly neighbor needs help with yard work — we want to be there.

If you know someone who is going through a difficult time and could use a helping hand, please fill out the form below and email it to jkmemorialfoundation@gmail.com with the subject line "Community Assistance." Together, we can continue spreading John’s kindness throughout our community.

The Foundation will never share personal information or photos of those nominated for assistance without their permission. However, we may share stories about the projects we undertake and the positive impact made throughout the community.

Through these efforts, we hope to keep John’s spirit alive and help make life a little brighter and easier for those around us.
